There is no denying, I am obsessed with the meme level that Within Destruction's music has reached, especially since Yōkai. While the new singles show the band move towards some kind of nu-metalcore, they are undeniably fresh and bold instead of playing it safe and getting in line with countless by-the-numbers releases. Survival is the spiritual successor of No Way Out, including another anime-season-cliffhanger-confrontation-heavy breakdown at its end. Word salad? Maybe, but you know it's true.
